Silly tire question...
« on: June 21, 2005, 10:16:36 AM »
may be a silly question.

my tires are 100/90 V19...

what does the V stand for.

I'm looking into buying Bridgestone spitfires and their model is a 100/90 H19.  is this the same thing?

thanks,
cooper

It's the speed rating.

If you've got a standard bike, H is perfectly adequate - V is faster (much faster)

Hey, Coop. The H rating is good for 130mph. V is good up to 149. I think either one will do just fine.
