Z900 Jet holder cut short(er)
« on: May 02, 2007, 12:57:56 PM »
Help...
Pulled the jets from my Z900 and found one of the jet holders to be 2mm shorter (Some considerate individual cut it)
Ordered a new "Jet" and got just that... did I know the holder was seperate !!
Will it make a difference to the running if the upper section of the holder is short, Jets, needles, Pin holes etc all in the same place.

Just the taper on the needle gives more space around the holder tip.
Paul.
It hurts to admit when you've made mistakes, But when the're big enough, the pain only lasts a second

I would say the jet holder/emulsion tube is from a different carb. I'm not sure if that is the needle jet or just the needle jet holder?( haven't worked on a Z1/Z900 for at least 25 yrs) Parts should be easily available from Sudco.
