Ah, to be able to win the lottery, and have a one bedroom house (to discourage visitors) with a 10 car garage for all of the 'toys'. Including one of these.

I saw the thread title, I saw the name of the poster, and I wasn't sure whether it was going to be the products of AC Cars, or Bell Aircraft ;D

I remember these from Vietnam. A brace of them came to our compound's defense during Tet around dawn one day. The mini-guns scared the youknowwhat out of me and they were on our side. :o ;)
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

OK, I told a fib :-[...It belongs to Chris but when we get fed up of the CR you can bet your bottom dollar it will be me that ends up doing all the work on it. >:(
It's not a real one though,..it's a kit car. The rolling chassis is all in place and we have a recent rebuilt motor for it.
After that it just wants the body fitting.
He only paid £2,000 for it and there is that much in the wheels, tyres and susspension units.
I don't know how long it will be before we get started on it but I will post for you when we do.

Interesting ;D

What make is the kit? and please tell me the engine is an eight cylinder Ford one ;)

I got to have a drive of a Dax version with the Jag V12 once 8)  It was great to drive to be fair ;D

But it just sounded all wrong :(

Not sure of the make Noel but it was made in Manchester, I think they only made a few and this one is one of the two made in round tube.
At the moment it has a Rover 3.5ltr motor but we might put a big Ford in it.
Yes the V12s not a patch on the sound of a V8, that is unles it has a prancing horse on the hood. :D

To be fair Sam, in the right hands them big old Jag lumps can be made to sound pretty damned sweet 8) TWR* and Lister have managed it in the past ;D

But they are never going to rumble and roar like a pukka Yank iron block with a brace of Holley watering cans on top 8)

I'll have to dig my replica manufacturers directory out when I get home, see who was based in the area :)

*I believe Tom Walkinshaw's old XJS racecar will be putting in an appearance at this year's Goodwood, it'll be worth seeing (and hearing) ;D if it does

Noel, I think he said it was a company call Specialities 427.
Chris took quite a few pics of the car when he got it but, they are all on his memory stick and SteveD CB500F has got it.
Come on Steve, lets have some pics of Chrises Cobra ;D ;D ;D
