Topic: XR600 AC regulator

Would anybody know where I could find a AC regulator for a 1986 Honda XR600R??

I'd rather not spend $97.89 for the OEM part.

And all my nearest dealerships can't find any aftermarket. Would it be possible to make one from scratch???

Is there another regulator I could swap from another bike (make and model)??

I would default to Electrex, but their closest equivalent (for an '87 XL600) is $100+!
