THE CB750 IS SOLD !
« on: June 27, 2007, 12:58:36 PM »
Yes, It is true.
I am no longer a SOHC owner as of this coming weekend. :(
A guy from NJ bought project "JUnK" from me last week, and is sending a transport
service to come pick it up. The money has been transfered, and the title has been sent (so it's really official guys!) It's the end of a era, and I am sure the bike will be missed, but the cash I got for it will find a very good home ( going towards a new motor in the 55).

Now the CB450 is the only bike I have, until I get settled in the new job (don't sell 18 wheelers anymore), and decide to buy something else to ride...

Say it ain't so man!  You were a fixture here last season!!  Are you still gonna poke around, since you still own a Honda (although is that one a DOHC?  its certainly not a 4..)

Will we ever find out how much you sold your bike for?  Not to be too nosey about your business, but it would be interesting to see how much a project/suped up bike gets versus a stock restoration job..

In all respect to the new owner I am not gonna say what the bike sold for. He is a cool dude who will prob. become a member himself on this board. I will say I got allot more for it then I would if I sold it on Ebay..

The new job is a inside sales/account manager GIG for HTTP://WWW.GARVINDIRECT.COM
Cool place - cool people - get to wear jeans to work - good hours - etc...
Much better then that crap gig I had at the 18 wheeler place.

I will most def. still be a active member of this board. Maybe not as frequest as I have in the past, but I will be all over the "other" bikes forum I am sure. And who knows, maybe I will find myself on another CB750 in the near future ? I would love to build a replica CR750 racer in my own "style"  ;D

Hate to see you sell the bike. It's been great watching your work!

I hear Chevy makes a great crate motor which will bolt right into the 55 to replace that 265 2 barrel that probably did not even have a factory oil filter. 400 to 500 hp enough?!  ;D
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Actually thats just what I am gonna do.
I am gonna pick myself up a ZZ430, which is a GM Performance Parts 383 small block making 430hp/and just under 500lbs. ft of toqure. That will be MORE than enough to make my "grandpa" car oh so much fun to tear around in. And then I plan to throw a Procharger on top of that to really make the car fun.. ;D

That SUCKS!!!

Well I'm happy for you, but hate it for the forum.  I hope you continue to stick around.

Okay, new poll.... How long before Pro Teal has another CB750?   ;D
