Hi Everyone,
Living here on the Costa Del Sol near Marbella I got tired of watching all the spanish kids hanging over the front of the mopeds slip streaming lorries and older spanish guys riding superbikes wearing a t shirt, shorts and flip flops......
I take delivery of my 1977 CB550F on 15th July, service and new tyres will be required and I can ride her straight away! Bethany apparently is her name, the owner promised me £50 discount if I didn't call her anything else so Bethany it is!
Here is a pic, she needs a bit of work........
There is a great bike shop and service garage down the road from me so shouldn't be a problem to get her smooth again and then.......
?? what to do next.....
I have not seen any ride-outs organised here on the coast for any bikes let alone SOHC, well except the annual HD convention which just took place up the coast in Fuengirola....
There seems to be an unofficial ride up the mountains to Ronda every sunday morning but that has a few perils associated with it....
The spanish ride like loons in t shirts and flip flops....
The Guardia Civil know about it and hang around every corner just waiting to pounce on anyone going over walking pace so the ride is littered with chases....
The road to Ronda is so bl00dy dangerous as it has drops of up to 300m off the side most of the way, pretty scary even in a car when you are on the outside coming down......
So what to do, there can't be many SOHC's here in Spain but there must be plenty of UK riders here looking for a few hours out on a weekend? Any tips anyone?
