Professionally speaking, I like it anytime I can access reliable medical information on my patient.  That's usually a challenge when they're lying unconscious by the side of the road.  This could be a handy device.  I've yet to see one.

Hey Medic, is it standard practice for you to check for "medic alert" bracelets or any other existing devices for "non-motorcyclists".

Also, I've taken to printing my emergency contact info and any important medical info on a sheet of paper and then folding it up so that it wraps around my health insurance card in my wallet.  Surely the insurance card is the first thing they'll look for in the ER, but maybe not at the scene of an accident or in an ambulance?

Absolutely, we look for alert bracelets, pendants, etc.  We *should* check in the wallet or purse as well, but sometimes things are too hectic for that.
