1978 cb750 press in slow jets
« on: August 07, 2007, 11:12:24 PM »
Anybody looking for the slow jets that press in for a 78 cb750 can find them at Sirius Consolidated. I just installed 4 #35 jets in my 750 and it runs like new. The previous owner tried to "clean" the jets and made the holes bigger which caused me to foul plugs like crazy. #35 part number is KHS49A035 and the phone number is (519) 585-0534. They are in Canada and the cost was cheaper than a case of beer ;D

Eldar, you're slipping.  Isn't there a part # in the original post?  And this guy wants us to venerate and offer up shiny exhausts to him?!   ::)

I saw them on ebay, but I thought the 77-78 took #38 slow jets not #35, anyway sounds like a good deal

Well I know the 78 used a 35 main. Maybe the 77 was a bit different but 35 should be just fine.

The 1978 uses a 110 main jet and 35 slow jet.  The smaller the number the smaller the holes. A 38 slow jet was used in 76 cb750F, 75-78 cb750A. There is a post in the facts section that gives a link to all the jet sizes for all years. The guy at Surius said he had different size press in slow jets if you want to change your jetting.

They only list the 35 pilots for the 77 and 78 550 Ks, too.  Too bad no 77 or 78 550 Ks came with 35s.

Better check what your needs are carefully before installing those.

Perhaps a call to their customer service line might indicate if they can produce the pilots in the sizes required.  They might even sell more if they made then in the right sizes.

That is the idle jet size, not the main jet size. The stock mains on the 1978 were #110mm's
