Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.....
« on: August 13, 2007, 01:15:22 AM »
He nearly got it right, but a wee way to go yet...

And for that sort of money I would take a slightly rougher original bike....

Yeah, it's kind of strange, you'd reckon that finding a K0 wouldn't be too difficult in the US, and as nice as this bike looks, it's just a "dogs breakfast" of various parts, so is probably of greater value to someone looking for K0 parts, than someone looking for an original bike. Why would you bother?  ??? :-\
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

At least the guy is "Up Front" with it and he HAS spent a lot of time going through it to try to do it right. All in all, it IS a nice looking bike. ;) If I were to do something like that, I'd want to keep it myself. and enjoy it.;D  It's kinda like I've had thoughts of taking a CB450 and building an SL version (of what one might have been like, since Honda never made one). Probably no one would want it and I'd only consider it, if I was planning on keeping it for myself.

                                 Later on, Bill :) ;)

The starting bid is fair, lots of hours invested. the buy it now price is a little above my comfort level. This type of thing is something you build for yourself. you can't make money on it (especially if you can't ship it) Nice bike none the less!

Hey, that bike's in my home town!
The starting bid may seem fair, but there's a reserve on it, so chances are the "real" starting bid is much closer to the buy it now price.

I don't like to be a knob but a used, correct, hydraulic reservoir is about $20 on eBay. The correct tank trims are out there because I've got a set on my K0. The correct kill switch is pricey but I would have just painted the red one black.

I like all the highlight lensflares he has added to the photograph. (Those twinkle thinks on the chrome.) Nice bike though. But pricier then I woulda thought.

No need to score points off me Terry, my bike is much prettier than yours ha ha.... :D

The front looks OK to me, at least he painted the calliper to look right....

The chromey twinkle is horrible, the bike should stand on its own merits. There was a guy last week trying to sell his Benly and with his first photo it looked like he used the old soft gel lens. Never a good look with a motorcycle. A 60 year old actress, maybe.

Bullshiite mate, mine's "as ridden" whereas yours is a restored "poofter bike", ha ha! (yeah, yeah, I know yours is nicer, dammit!)  ;D
