Hmm, Mr. Chilton and Mr. Honda disagree on the 750.. by quite a few pounds. Who should we believe?

 '78 750 shop manual lists the dry engine weight as 196lbs.(89kg.) I knew there had to be a reason I brought the manual home from the shop yesterday.

Hmm, the weight I listed for the 750 K0 came from the honda shop manual. Would there be that much difference between it and a '78? I wouldn't think so. I can heft a 750 motor in and out of the back of a vehicle solo, but I doubt if I could do it if it weighed almost 200 lbs.

   Could be Bob. I think the '77/'78 bottom ends are supposed to be beefier than the earlier engines. It wouldn't take much of a little here...a little there to gain 20lbs. Maybe some more weight in the heads too?
I happen to have a K8 engine sitting in my shop right now. I'll see if anyone in the building has a scale that can handle the weight.

Of course it would be heavier, it took them years to bring the 78 motor to perfection using proper materials.
