Frame swap 78 to 75?
« on: September 15, 2007, 08:10:21 AM »
I have a 78 CB550 that I'm working to get back on the road. The guy I bought it from is taking his sweet time transferring the title into his name, so he can then give it to me (he wrote in his name and signed the title when he bought it 4 years ago, but never actually transferred the title, so he's got to do that first).

I've been waiting over a month now and he keeps giving me excuses. My options are to go for a title service, or buy a titled frame off of eBay.... my only question there, is will a previous year frame, say a 75 frame, work with the 78 tank, bodywork, and brackets and stuff?

I'm not talking just engine, I'm talking tank, sidecovers, battery box, triple tree, fenders -- the whole shabang.
