top end question
« on: November 03, 2008, 10:02:03 AM »
so i've been shopping around for a top end kit for my 80cb650c, i haven't found one yet(found many complete kits, but none for just the top end) i was wondering if a top end kit for a 550 would work being that the 650 is basically the same engine? i've checked the faq and haven't found the answer there. i only really need the top end cause of the typical oil leaks with these engines. thanks in advance

When you say "top end kit" are you talking about the gasket set?

The head gasket is different (larger bore) and I know that the cam cover changed between the two engines, but I don't know if they use the same gasket.
