How much oil for a 1978 CB400T1?

How much oil is required for an oil change in a 1978 CB400T1? I have looked all over and can not get the exact amount required for this bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also what can happen if I put too much oil in?

I mean how much oil is required/ suggested for an oil change for a 1978 Honda CB400T1?
I would like to do an oil change this weekend and want to know how much oil I need. Yes I will be replacing the oil filter as well. Hope that clears up any confusion.

Pick up 4 quarts from the store, then measure how much you drained out and go from there.

Owners manual say 2.5 liters or 2.6 US Quarts of the recommended grade oil.
