I am a HUGE fan of the Dunlop TT100s for the 750s. Oversized and they don't last long, but damn, they stick like glue. At least the ones I got.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone tried out and has an opinion on the Avon Speedmaster Rib front and Mark II Safety Mileage rear? They're a "old-school" design and one of VERY few tires that are made in OEM sizes that are not cheap Chinese dog-turd-rubber *cough* Cheng-Shin *cough*.
Anyway, I heard someone say that the "safety Mileage" rear was called the "block of death" or somesuch because it's a rather squared-off design. However, I've heard folks (mostly) praise the rib front tires, and they've even been recommended by some to combat the "post-K1 Headshake", which I've never seen, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist*.
Anyway, any experience with these tires? The TT110s are a WEE bit oversized for the front in my F1 and the shoulder blocks rub the wire loop for the steel brake line a little bit. I've bent it out of the way, but if I wanted to go back to the OEM-sized 3.25x19 and 4.00x18 rear and in original-style tread as the Bridgestone Gold Seal tires that came on it (and are still in the garage), these appear like one of very few options.
Opinions?
*: The TT100s don't give the Headshake to my F1, I only presume because of the longer rake and trail.
