pipe temp

Here is a stupid question

Pipes 1 and 2 are hot, 3 and 4 are only warm.

static timed, valves set, points set.  Carbs or not perfect, waiting on kits to come.  I'm planing to by new plugs tommorrow.  Could two missaligned carbs cause colder pipes  ???

Yes. 3 and 4, eh? Well, sounds like your tap or fuel filter could be blocked, if you have the double-tap outlet setup, and suggests the problem is not coils, timing etc. What bike we talkin´about, you have to be more specific.

74 550.  Same one in my Avitar

I'm leaning toward a blocked fuel line, swapped plugs and 1 - 2 still heat right up, on the rich side.  3 - 4 cool to the touch, can grip them with the egine running, also should be on the rich side, PO was running WO an air filter.  Just have to wait on the kits.  It sucks having great biking weather and I can't go for a spin.

I'm going to stop working on the bike for the night and RTFM again, as well as ALL the carb stuff I can find.

Forgot to add,

twin feed valve,  one side to 1 -2 and one to 3 - 4.

Carbs are 022A

#$%*, goto go switch the fuel lines and see what happens.

Boy do I feel dumb, Didn't think to check the gas level.  only ran about 75 miles.  Now I know when it gets to the point of the reserve, it only seems to feed carbs 1 and 2. 

Oh well, now to get the carb kits and see if I can get better mileage.

the first time i rebuilt my carbs on my CB750K8 I put the floats in upside down. they went right in...nicely. couldnt figure out why no gas was getting to my carbs. when i put the bowls on it pushed the floats up enough to close them...DUHHH

took the bowls off, fuel came out, put the bowls on...no fuel?  didnt take long to figure out but... ;D

I see it, anyone else not able to see it?  Maybe I uploaded it wrong.

Also just finish installing the carb kits, jets - 38 and 100, float seats and needle, and main jet needle, and air screws and springs, o-rings and top carb gaskets.  Sinced with a 1/8 drill bit, set the screws to 1 1/2 turns, installed inline fuel filters (the tank filter was full of holes).  Installed new plugs. Started right up and all four are hot.
