What a day ~
« on: July 17, 2005, 06:53:15 PM »
Finally stopped raining ! Temps in the mid-80s, enough billowy clouds to look dramatic against a crystal blue sky, Mimosa trees in bloom, pygmy goats romping, dogs on porches raising a sleepy head to look as we go by, little white farm houses with big brick chimneys on hills, tobacco barns that look like they've been standing for hundreds of years, up and down, in and out of dappled shadow through twisties and sweepers as forrest opens up to big fields so bright green it almost hurts to look then back into the trees again while  Sidecar Rosie stands on Kathleens knees doing her fervent best to imitate a hood ornament and I must laugh every time I take my eyes off the road to look- but it's OK because we're only doing about 20 to 45 MPH max.
Whew ! A very few hours like this make the rest of the year worth it.  Hope everyone had such a day (even if it wasn't on a Honda).

Ernie

I know how you feel, but in my case its having rebuilt my carbs and running about 40 miles and still having a good 3/4 of a tank left.  Before the rebuild, 80 to 100 miles per tank.  I almost makes me cry that gas is running $1.03 a L, then again I could be in Europe

Have a blast, (cool air over bike and protective riding gear)
