Where does the neutral light ground?
« on: September 25, 2007, 05:15:48 PM »
I painted the lower crankcase from my K0 750 today. I pulled the neutral light switch first. It occurred to me after I painted that I don't know where the neutral light grounds to complete the circuit. Does it ground to the case? Did I just paint away my ground? Or does it ground to the hollow on the shift fork drum that the ball on the end of the switch pops into when you are in neutral?

Thanks,

Patrick

The connection is actually the neutral light switch that you described.  The bulb is connected to a "hot" wire, and the ground is supplied by the neutral switch.
