Right on.  I got my '77 550F about a year ago and still doing some stuff here and there.  I have a couple of compressed discs in my lower back so the clubmans will have to be replaced with either a drag bar or superbike bar, and maybe add one of those small Viper fairings.  See ya at MvR '08.. or sooner!

Yea- its actually a front fender from a kawasaki something-a-rather with a piece of steel from the side of an old oven welded to either side. The sides are then pie cut and re welded, then hammer & dollied nearly to death. Its starting to shape up okay, I think.

The tank is stock CB500T, less the paint.

Welcome and looking good!
I`ve always wondered how a 500T tank would fit on one of these.
Is the tunnel underneath those tanks wide enough to clear the dual coils, and how is the fit on the front mounts?

The underneath fits fine, actually. The front mounts are in the right spot, theyre just closer together on the tank. I just shaved about 1/4" off of the rubber mounts, and it slides right on the front. Laying it all the way down on the rail tilts the bottom line of the tank back too far for my tastes, so I welded about 1" of rectangle stock to where the end of the other tank sat. The 500T tank sits atop that with some rubber stoppers and levels out nicely.

I feel that.  My daily work beater ('87 Turdcel) broke down and I had enough of it so I junked it and bought a newer used car.  Last time I rode my bike I was still recovering from severe lower back pain.. was too antsy I just had to ride!!!  Needless to say I spent the next couple of weeks taking things easy to recover from that ride.   :-\
Just changed the oil on the bike but debating whether or not to get back on yet.  The clubmans may have to go first.
