Guess what the "Brown Truck" delivered to my house today? ??? ::)

That IS one FINE looking pipe! The seller send the pipe is a large Dell Computer box filled with lots of sheets of the large "BubbleWrap" and some foam rubber! It looks tough! I'm gonna have to figure a way to step up the 450 Project and before it's all over, it (the 450) may just end up acquiring some things from the other projects. ;D
The one I called "My other 74' CB450K7" is the victum this time. Now, while I am gonna "Cafe" it, it will still be able to be restored (it someone wants to do it. ;) In other words, I'm not gonna do any chopping on it. Having some issues with my pc and I can't seem to post any pictures right now. When I can, I'll post the starting picture of that 450.
                                Later on, Bill :) ;)

nice catch bill!

Thanks Mike. He said that he'd lowered he price on it. I'm thinking that I'd seen it before and bypassed it because of the price. Can't remember what it was though. To me, that pipe comes under the category of, "Get It While You Can!" Now, to get some things taken care of, so I can work on it! ;D I can hardly wait to see and hear that pipe on my 450. ;)

I'd say you got a very good deal on that pipe, and it's going to look and sound great on your bike too. 8)

I like that pipe. I think you'll have to remove the pipe to check or change the oil though.
At least thats what it looks like you'll have to do.
There was some R/S exhaust like that for the XS 650 and the pipe needed to be removed to get to the oil fill also.
 DG

I shoulda known that there was a downside to it. :-\ ::) Oh well, at least there are only 4 nuts and 1 bolt holding it on. Shouldn't be too bad. :) I'll have to try to remember to do that BEFORE I fire it up and get that pipe HOT, huh? Course, I do like to warm the oil up before I change it. :-\ We'll just have to see how it turns out. Thanks Daniel ;)

Ya know, I'm already starting to get a bit anxious to hear how it sounds and it's gonna be a little while before I can do that. :( Gotta stay focused, Gotta stay focused! Maybe if I keep telling myself that, I can actually do it. ;D ::) Stay focused that is. ;) I'll have a better idea about what I'll be able to do, as far as Servicing and such.

BTW, I saw a CB500T that is being built as a Scrambler and I think some of you will enjoy seeing it. I'll be back! ;)

Here it is, it's kinda giving me ideas too!

Thanks Teal, I usually see someone else pickup on deals like that and was surprised that I came away with it.

Excellent score on the exhaust. If my CL450 deal happens I will hate you. ;)

As for oil changes, by the time you drain the oil and clean the filter the pipe should be cool enough to work around. You might even get lucky and be able to get the dipstick out without pulling the pipes.

How about a long flexy funnel and some welding gloves? ;D

Cheers, Mark
