I bought the bike from the original owner/builder in 2005 after almost 20 yeras of pestering him. It was broken, but not bent. Fairing was destroyed, tail section broken, exhaust gone, gauges gone. Sourced a fairing from OZ and did all the other repairs myself. Still has the original Dunlop TT100's on it. A blast to ride, but not for very long.
A couple of weeks ago the AMA museum had a Hall of Fame induction/ Concourse D" Eleganse show. The Rickman Brothers voted it their favorite, a little bias probably, but it worked for me. A real treat having my photo taken with the Brothers and the bike. The CR is now in the museum for all to enjoy. I rode it for the last 2 years and was planning to park it anyway. I've tried sending a "before" pic, but file is too large and I'm a bit computer challenged. Anyone wanting to see that pic, email me, and I'll send it seperately . rsimpso9@ford.com.
www.ama-cycle.org will get you to the link describing the Museum/Hall of Fame event, with a picture of me, the Brothers and the bike. More questions, just ask.
