77 750K Float Level
« on: April 08, 2005, 07:29:42 PM »
Been working on getting my 77 750K  going again, after a 12 year nap in the basement. I cleaned the carbs and installed my "new set" of pipes, and the bike started right up. Then the carb leaking started. I think I may have messed up the float setting.  Need to find the float level setting and where the measurement is referenced.

Thanks
Dennis

According to the Honda Service Specifications book, the 1977- 750K float setting should be 12.5 mm with the stock
model 41A carbs...

Hey Warlock

Thanks for the info. Is the measurement from the float bowl surface? And where on the floats is the measurement point?

Thanks again
Dennis

Hi Dennis
Get the float to where it`s just touching the needle without compressing it and then measure from the carb body lip to the top of the float. The pics below are from a CB500 but the same principle.

Got it.  Thanks for the info, hopefully this will solve my problem. I'm trying to not have to rebuild the carbs.
