Where to find a set of velocity stacks?
« on: November 30, 2007, 08:21:33 PM »
Title says it all. I have seen velocity stacks on race bikes...cafe racers...choppers...
does anyone know a place that sells ones that fit the 550 carbs?
Or if not that, perhaps some of the metal screens to plop on the ends of the carbs?

are 500 carbs. the same size as the 550? I think I have a set. If you want to use as a mock up. Not sure what they might fetch. Use them as a mock up for the board members and everyone gets a good deal.

Interested in hearing more from both of you guys. How could I use the set as  a mock up?
The only issue I can think of would be frame clearance, and space issues given that the carbs sit pretty close together.

Well, I'm designing some in SolideWorks and they'll be CNC lathed.  If you're interested I could make an extra set for you.  I've also got a 550...

I would be interested in the solid works file when you are finished. I have a 550 cafe project and I have had my eye out for some velocity stacks.

If you want to make velocity stacks I would spin them into shape using thin wall tubing.
