Another new guy
« on: December 10, 2007, 09:35:23 PM »
Newly registered to the forum, figured I'd stop in and say hello.

I recently inherited a 75 750F and I ran into this corner of the web looking for info about it.
This was my father in law's bike. He passed away in '92 and it sat in the top of my brother in law's barn since. He gave it to me after deciding he'd never ride it again, and would rather see someone have it that would get some use out of it. I'm working on restoring it now. (I told my wife I'd do my best to make this bike like it was when her dad bought it new.) I'll post some pics when I can get out to the garage.

My other bike is a '65 BSA Lightning that I bought as a rolling basket case, and this is the one that's never gonna be finished. New head with valves, guides, etc., complete rewire front to back (freakin' Lucas electrics!!) and the list goes on. When she's running, she's a blast, but this bike has been quite the "educational" experience.

I live in Niles (Youngstown area). I was at the frappr site and noticed there seem to be quite a few Ohio riders here. Is there a meet or rally in the spring / summer s few members attend?
It will be nice to take a ride this summer on a scoot that I can actually depend on for distance. (I went to the Ohio Valley BSA Owner's club meet a couple of years ago, and that's a story in and of itself.)

Here are some pics of my rides. Sorry, couldn't get any full on side views, but currently I only have a car and a half garage to work in. (Hopefully I'll be able to remedy that situation soon.)
If the weather gets nice anytime soon I'll try to roll them outside for a quick shot or two.

P.S. I apologize for the mess in the garage, I've been working waaay too much overtime lately to even think about trying to tackle the mess.
