copycat cb500four
« on: July 28, 2005, 04:56:19 AM »
Hi,

I just read this article about a Chinese company building copies of Honda's CB 500 Four.

It's a copy of an article from a britsh magazine called Motorcycle Classic & Mechanics from 1996.

You can find a larger picture at: http://s3.amazonaws.com/SOHC4/copycat.jpg

But besides this article I can't find any other information.

Anybody who knows a bit more about these machines or maybe has a picture of one?

I am very curious!

Edwin!

Well, I've Googled "MIG" "Eaton" etc and can find no mention of these people. Seems like they're not around any more.

I also did some searching in Google but didn't find anything either.

My guess is the Eaton name was a name used by the MIG company that imported (or was going to import) these bikes.

So if they where built, maybe they sold them in China. But it will be difficult to find out the manufacturers name I guess.   :-\

The Benelelli didn't just look like the Honda, most engine parts were interchangable. Benelli owners use David Silver to keep
there bikes going these days. Also the Beneli Six was the same engine with 2 more cylinders tacked on but basically the same engine.
