Is this really the starting price for a machine like this?

I was sent this link by a friend of mine, is this seriously the asking price for a machine like this?

I read, non-original tank and seat, motor has been opened, am I just not knowledgeable about these things? Or does that seem insanely high?

 If it was all that it was originally was and not a bunch of mis-matched parts it would be a good find, but still not what he's asking. :o Just like some bikes you see made from NOS and sold as original bikes for top dollar IMO. Their both looking for an unknowing sucker.

For some the money probably isn't a problem, but he's not really offering something anywhere near worth that kind of money IMO. Not even 1/3 the opening bid, even if they have the rest of the original parts he doesn't list.
