new bike, late 70's or maybe early 80's cm400

i just got, kind of "inherited" a cm400, it seems to be in pretty good shape with new tires, sprockets and chain. are there any performance upgrades that can be done with this bike? i was also thinking about a cafe build for it. this bike WILL be sold when i finish it as i dont think me, as heavy and big as i am, should be riding a 400, i'd look like a monkey screwing a football lol. anyways the bike was free and i'm looking for ideas, i even thought about doing a rigid chopper.................who knows.

I had a CM400 once. Great bikes. It hauled my 200lb butt anywhere I asked it to.

I have an '81. She was my first. Still fun to ride. I have some extra parts, if you need something.

I have a 79' CM 400A, the Hondamatic version. Geat little bike....gets up and goes pretty well too. I got mine free as well. check youtube, I know theres a video of a CM400 bobber on there that looks sweet......I believe you can still get pipes for it, as well as pod filters, but thats about it. Good luck with it!!

gonna hardtail and stretch it, no more rake than stock though. i have a sportster tank to go on it.
