On retiring....
« on: March 11, 2008, 11:26:16 AM »
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.

Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went to the local town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a policeman writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a  break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi  turd. He
glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tyres.

So my wife called him a sh*thead. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The
more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.

Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

Nowadays, you dont get tickets, you get tazered and then sent to prison for made up charges!

It was funny though! :D

Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Nice one Bob...I was on a VJMC Rally last weekend. Some wag put a pink girlie's brassiere over my number plate, obscuring it. I discovered it after about 40 minutes into the ride but decided to leave it there for a bit of a hoot.

The inevitable happened and I was traffic stopped. The "arresting officer" had no sense of humour. He was right nasty, stomping around my bike checking everything. He ripped the "pink girlie's brassier" off my number plate, but he held onto it for about two seconds longer than required, (I don't want to go there!) before throwing in onto the ground in disgust. He was in a right fit, prancing around in his short socks and short pants, totally out of uniform. What a piece of theatre it was. What a piece of work he was.

Left me sitting on my bike in the rain. I said how long is this going to take?...blah blah...He said, "Where are your mates staying" and I said "As if I'm going to tell you"...ha, ha, what a little KNOB he was. All good fun but it's going to cost me NZD $200. What a rip-off.

Still, my mates will get a suprise when I list the brassiere up on our local auction site as a "Vintage motorcycle ornament". I think some questions will be asked at the next meeting as I'm liable but not 100%, IMO.

I think Bob's stars are a different colour to mine. And let's not go off on the stories of over-officious police people.

Oh, alright. A s#!t disturbing friend was pulled over, and before the policemen could say anything he asked to see the policeman's ID. When asked why he said that anyone could obtain a uniform and drive around in an unmarked, late model domestic car. The policeman did not have his ID on him so he radio'd for back up from a colleague who had not, foolishly, left his ID at the police station. My friend was put in cells overnight for "obstructing a police officer in the course of his duty."
