CB750 K1 Air Box

I would like to know the ID of the four holes of a CB750 K1 Air Box. I have a spare Air Box which is supposedly from a K1 and the ID of the holes in it is 44mm which seems too big to me. I hope some one can help. Thanks, Pat

Thanks Terry. That's what I thought but the top half does not have the breather connection which the F2 has and the bottom half has the wing nuts on the end of the through bolts similar to the early Ks. Anyway I am interested to see what you find. I have new tubes coming soon. If the holes are too big I will fit bushes to make the holes the correct size. Pat

 My '76 airbox has 44mm holes.  The way I understand it there would be two different sizes, '76 and under being 44mm, then 77-78 being larger. I'm not up to pulling my '78 box apart to confirm this but I think you're OK with the box you have.

It's all together Pat, I just need to slot it back in the frame, but I'm off to my folks place in the country tomorrow, so it won't go back in for a couple of days, and I'm painting the tank while the weather is still warm. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Scondon, thanks for the feedback. I know there are two sizes but I didn't know the measurements of those sizes. The 44mm looked big to me and I was thinking that maybe someone had enlarged them to fit the later model tubes but your feedback tells me mine is OK. Thanks, Pat
