Topic: New England Powdercoating

So I've made a lot of progress since my first post last weekend when I got the bike.  Now she is down to bare frame.  I've called 6 powder coaters in the area because I would like to get the frame and swingarm shot.  All of them said it would be between $450 and $500 for those two items and if I want the rims done those would be $75-$100 each.  Some places said they wouldn't do the rims because of the chrome finish.  Worse yet, 3 of the 6 places said I have to prep and sandblast before I bring it all in.  That is way above my price range.  Do you guys know a good place to powdercoat for cheap or any alternatives to it.  I don't mind the elbow grease of sanding and painting myself.  I've even thought of some spray on bed liner or something tough that wont chip.  I'm doing this rebuild on the cheap and I just want something that looks half way decent (and I can do myself) that will last awhile.  I'm open to suggestions.

I would prep the frame and use either Rustoleum Black Enamel or the two part POR black. It will hold up better than powder coat and is easily refreshed ot repaierd. Put the money you save into other other things to make it run and look better.
