I know Shannon, he's pretty short so footrest position works for him
He's a real good painter and salesman but personally I think he should stick to being a biology teacher  ;)

It would be worse being shorter...?, its long legs that need more room not short ones..?

Tell me about it. I turned my pegs down over the stops and built my seat 'up' just to give my hips a chance.

It's still a nice looking bike though and if it works for him that's really all that matters.

Considering it sold on eBay for $8,800..I think that he did pretty well, whether he's "just" a teacher or not.  I bought a similar pair of rear shocks for my 400F, and they weren't exactly cheap..($150)..and they perform really well.  That bike is beautiful.

I went to a small vintage Japanese bike show today; of the 6 CB 750s this was my favorite. Notice the Frankenstuff point cover.

There were also 3 CBXs. A mostly stock late model won best of show. One was a bit modified. ;)

The tracker is a Jeff Stephens build. I am inspired to see that cover on there.

Here's a couple from Chicago Motoblot (FKA Mods vs Rockers) 2 weekends ago. The owner of this 550 is a member here (I forgot his name) but he doesn't have a build thread. The tank and the seat are both metal.

It was a People's Choice event. There was a 91 NightHawk that had been lowered, lengthened, huge rear tire, really nice paint job, chrome wheels, turbo with an open megaphone. Really fine custom knurled treatment to the fin edges. The guy actually rode it to the rally and all the rides. It was his baby. (I did hear him say a shop did all the work).  It got lots of attention and I was ready to concede it to him.  But when they announced "2nd place goes to the 91 NightHawk" Linda and I just smiled at each other.

Many of us have read through MCRiders build thread, all of the time, effort and knowledge in this frigging build. Inspiring too see the bike get 1st at a legit VJMC show. Frigging brilliant Ron!
