Return of "Hideous eBay Bike Friday!"
« on: August 12, 2005, 10:56:55 AM »
While this entry may not peg the "Hideous-o-meter" as previous ones have, it however posesses certain 'low-grade' hideousness that may not be apparent to the uninitiated.  What really put this auction over the top is the description, which is far more hideous than the actual item.  For example, can someone explain this statement; "...runs nicely, with just a touch of beening cold collared, but does great after warming a couple of minutes."

When you combine the absolutely hideous description with a borderline hideous bike, well you can do the math.  Enjoy

Let me spend a few more minutes in the long-lasting "Favorite Beer" forum, then come back over with my goggles on ... I bet she'll look real purty!

EEEEGAAAADDD!!!!

That looks a lot like my 750 when I got it... Baaaad flashbacks happening here!

(Somewhere, in a very dark place in the garage attic are kept the snotty bolt-on accessories. We don't talk about those....)

Kind'of that laid back type of lounge chair look.  the meat therm. has to be the silliest thing I've seen.
I'd like to see this owners choice of helmet!  wonder if he wears a sweater on his rides.  Definitly

Hey its not that bad. New seat and bars and it would be alright. Maybe a new exhaust too. I think the cafe is way worse.

well, it ain't as grim as the pink 'un, but that hardtail looks like some of the most hideous engineering I've seen for some time.

It looks like the builder put quite a lot of effort into what is undoubtedly a POS ;D

The original topic of this posting has been relisted and he's added a bit to the description.

"Vehicle Description

new battery, new starter, just tuned, new front tire, runs nicely, with just a touch of beening cold collared, but does great after warming a couple of minutes. Seat has a couple of small tears,,this bike will let you cowboy all ya want,,though I dont cowboy much anymore,,older and wiser,I guess.....the pipes give it a real nice sound,,,,the rear wheel is wider than stock,,and the bars a bit higher than stock,,,giving it a nice feel to the ride,,,the K/Q seat offers a nice ride for the ass. Ive always run high test in all my bikes and this one is used to it also,,,,the oil and filter were changed less than 100 miles ago,,,,and if you remind me I will give you the service manual for the bike

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Aug-16-05 at 17:27:00 PDT, seller added the following information:

the bike holds 60 to 80 lbs of oil pressure all the time the plugs are less than 100 miles old ,,the valves were adjujusted at that time,,,OH,,and there is no center stand,,what are they for anyway? "

It's about a $500 bike that the owner probably believes is worth twice that.  ::)

A bike that cries! Perhaps he should change the heading to religious icons. Mary might be in there somewhere?
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!
