Need a Member in Ontario.
« on: May 01, 2008, 10:18:37 PM »
So I bought a stator and cover for a cb350 from a guy in Ontario.....

Was .99 cents and now the seller is claiming it $60 buck to ship it to Texas.

Anyone in Ontario think this is reasonable?

Anyone wanna forward it to me at a realistic shipping price?

Thanks

Hey kghost,I sent a 550 cover ,no stator to CA with CanPost and it was around $10-$15,ask him how much to ship to L1B-1G5,Ontario(me) and than go from there.............Tom

1978 cb 550k......stock,my first re-build

Loud pipes suck.......

If you buy something.........pay for it !
If you sell something .......ship it !
If you say you are going to do something......do it !
If you have a question about something......ask it !
When the seller answers ........let him know whether you still want it or not !
If you receive something .....let the seller know you got it !
If you get something and are happy/un happy with it .....let the giver/seller know !
If you have any kind of issue,shipping/receiving/quality/price/shipping charges etc !
Communicate

Where in Ontario is this guy? Maybe one of us locals could grab it and ship it out AT COST. Shouldn't be anywhere near that much. I shipped half of my diving gear down there for less than that when I was selling it off on EBAY.

Find out an approximate address as I am always looking for an excuse to go for a ride (weather today and tomorrow is supposed to be crap!)

If he is in the Toronto area or east I could swing by but we have members all over the place in southern Ontario.

I just used the parcel calculator on canadapost.ca

Shipping from my postal code to Texas assuming a 3lb pound 10 inch by 10 inch by 10inch box (I have no idea how big or heavy the actual box would be) and got 3 quotes:

Next day was $107
Expresspost 3-5 days $32
And expedited parcel 7-8 days was $21

Just another option kghost, I live just across the border from NY (southwest Quebec)and take stuff across to ship all the time. If you want to have him send the stuff here I can easily do that for you.
