Haha, ohhh the paint . . . that candy gold had to be by far the hardest color I have ever sprayed. It is so unforgiving and goes on like water. First time it looked perfect but ended up running while drying over night. The second time it didn't go on even, I was using a friends booth and the lighting wasn't great so I didn't realize that until getting it into the day light. But man, the third time was the charm. I'm just really picky when it comes to painting, it's all or nothing, either looks amazing or it doesn't.
Tips for anyone else spraying candy paint- take it slow and build it up really really easy. Have to get each pass overlapped perfect or the candy coat will end up uneven in the tint. Give each coat of the candy color a GOOD 20-25 min flash between coats. Any less time and it WILL run on you, maybe not right away, but it will. . . its a good thing that color looks so great or I'd never play with the candy paint again!
