« on: May 23, 2008, 12:32:16 PM »
Hey whatsup all I have some new tires I need to install and would like advice on the removal of the front and rear wheels...

1) What tools should I use to remove the axles?

2) How do I get at the front axle there is some caps holding it in place?

Any help is MUCH appreciated..thx

Remove the speedo cable.

Use a 14 mm wrench to remove the nuts holding the caps on....

Then the wheel will just fall out.

rear is easy too, loosen the axle nut, loosen the adjusters, and then take the 12mm bolts out at the end of the swingarm and pull the whole wheel off.  much easier than trying to slide the axle out while the wheel is on the bike like i used to do.

Anyone have any trouble putting on Bridgestone Spitfires to the stock wheels 90/19" front 130/18" rear?
