I got started on it today. Got the tank off and checked for rust it looks ok inside. Got the carbs off and checked one bowl, pretty nasty in there. Cleaned out a rats nest between the carbs and air breather. Most everything made of rubber is rotted. cleaned up the fuse box. there wernt any fuses so it wasnt too bad. Front brake cable and one of the throttle cables seem to be frozen. Anything better than penetrating oil to loosen them up? Looks like the front forks are leaking fluid from the top seal im thinking. they are really soft. Front brake seems to be not working. Not as much rust as i first thought just a lot of grime and gunk. Looks like there is not enough throttle to me it only moved less than 1/2 inch but ill worry about that after i get the carbs cleaned and back on. Ive ordered a service manual and dont wont to get too far into it until i know exactly what im doing. It was fun playing around with it though.
