This will make you feel better:

The other day I thought I'd try to walk the dog on the bicycle (never tied it before).

I was holding the retractable leash in my right hand and the left hand was on the handle bar........ the side with only the front brake.

He got me up to a pretty good clip before I cartwheeled over the front of it.

Luckily I headed for the grass before that happened so nothing hurt but my pride  ;D

Five people were watching at the time.

My Grandfather swore the best treatment for a burn was natural Honey. I've tried it and it does work. Lather it on and cover it up with something to keep the flies away.

I think it was my first bike

CL 175 with custom made low pipes, I got em chromed.at 1.50 and inch :o.. and this was a very good chrome shop..

anyway, exhaust studs were knackered, had bolts in  there I think.. one day my pipe fell off.. >:(

so I parked, ran over to pick it up with my nice guantlet gloves... man it was hot, and thick wall like car exhaust..so,, it stayed hot!!

So did my Hand & glove..then later the glove was all hard and started cracking..just the palm and fingers  >:(
..(no joke needed, thanks..)

Speaking of licking pipes..

When we were little, my brothers buddy came over with his Ma to visit.. they drove a cream colored Austin.. with Semaphore signals.. :D

anyway the 2 wAnchors were messing about in there with the cigar lighter.. that is until Fritz stuck his toungue to it.

My good but was that pussy SCREAMING.. hah..hah..ha

Fritz was not his real name, it started with FR though and was German, I bet no one can figure out that nam.. ???e

In my case, I'll have a better approach with the girl (thanks to TwoTired)... but otherwise, I'm sure that forget the stand again sometime.   ::)

The bike I had before my 650 was a crotch rocket and I had gotten into the habit of keeping my legs tight against the body. When I first got the bike I was excited and went for a ride in shorts.  I don't know how many times I burned my knees on the motor before I learned.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

'kay... I'll add more to the pile from just today.  Today I changed the oil, checked the cam chain tension, & adjusted the tappets.  Put it all most back together and fired it up.  Rumbly... hmmm...

Took it around the block... v-e-r-y poor low end.  Stumbled back home only to find #4 spark plug wire that I had unplugged for clearance was still unplugged  ::).  Total relief and total feeling of dumbass all in one moment.  Fired it up and it sounded great.  Another trip around the block to verify and voila all is well with the world.

Dumbass strikes again!  Where's my official membership card damnit!
