Just do what you want to do. You don't need our permission or good blessings. But I mean that in a nice way.

Raŭl: Your posts are always welcome because they are well thought out, measured, insightful and on topic. I suggest that you change your nicname  to "Mr logical."

And I'm the opposite to you, I change my avatar all the time, I'm impulsive, lack insight or forethought and am frequently off topic and also I'm a hijacker.     :D

Thanks for your kind words and for taking the effort to search for the "ú". It's not quite the same but I appreciate it  ;D  I love your Z1 avatar, that's one of the bikes I would not mind to own....

Hey Canuck, what about "Parrot Top" as your new nick?  ;D

What's the story behind "Weird Beard?" Did you dye it? Braid it? Grow really patchy?

Beard gets really bushy, beyond my years bushy. I'm only 27 but will let it grow until it's as bushy as the grey haired bushy bearded hog riders beard. People start joking that I will find all kinds of things in it, like a chicken wing, one week after having chicken wings. When it gets that bushy I start putting things in it like my pen when I'm not using it or a french fry and pretend I don't know it's there.

I cut it only a few times a year, or for weddings etc. If I am not required to look "presentable" I sure as hell am not going to! I don't even own a razer. I let it grow where ever it grows in. No clean lines well groomed sculpted bonsai beard for me. I have asked my wife what she thinks of me shaving it off and she doesn't want me to. Says she like it. I have had it cut into a gotee, if I have to look presentable, but let it grow back into a beard It's not really bushy right now, cut it down for mothers day.

I don't remember what my chin looks like. I don't own a suit. All my shirts and pants are oil stained. I look like a bum (hobo) Don't confuse an "unkept" appearance with poor hygene. It's one thing to look like a bum, it's something else to smell like one!

I`m a few years older than you but i have the same deal........
I wear it to keep warm, i grew up in the tropics and now here in the cold south i need all the help i can get to stay warm

so come on lets see your face fungus

Well, how can we make an edimicated decision without an accurate picture of Canuck's "weird beard?" With that in mind, I have created a parallel poll:

The Canuck Lineup (Poll)

By the way, this may be the dumbest thing I've ever done here, and as we know, that says a lot.

I think of TwoTired as "Mr. Logical" I think of Raŭl as "Señor Lógico".

How about Weird Beard, then somewhere in your signature "formerly posting as Canuck" or something like that?  We can adapt to your new name.  I also like the transition idea  of being Weird Beard Canuck for a while.

Can I change my name to Canuck when you're done with it?

nah dusty. yer good.  he should donate 'Canuck' to a needy newbie.  It's a good SN.  Pass it on to the next struggling sohc4head from Canadia.  Weird Beard is epic though.

My god! We share a family tree?
I`ve been called an ape (and worse) before lol, my family actually has members that went to canada (several generations ago, mid 1800`s) so it is possible.
I often get asked "doesnt it itch?" or "why have a beard?"
My answers are simple, NO and warmth, i grew up in the tropics and hate the cold, here in adelaide the beard helps to keep my face and neck warm in winter

I was just thinking if you read that, you might find you're actually attached to the name.  It seems that you're not.  And you do feel attached to weird beard, so I'm casting my official vote in the poll.

Yeah, troppo started out as an online nic for the chatrooms (troppolad) and has become part of real life now, 90% of the people i know in adelaide only know me as troppo, i am definately attached to that name

Are you SURE?  Have you ever done any scientific study to find out?

This guy did!    :o

Sorry to hear you look like Troppo (not that there's anything wrong with that).  ;)  I just had my money on you looking like this:

Actually, it's probably best if you don't give us a photo.  You've seen what happened (happens) to Terry from Australia, haven't you?

After all, if we had your photo, we'd suggest you tattoo your forhead, and then you might look like this:

It wouldn't take long before we talked you into standing on your head:

Before long, you'd be an tattooed, upside down Geisha:

And then gravity would make your beard fill in even weirder than before:

And nobody wants that...

 ;D

Hey Canuck, I just discovered that we have a new member named "Badbeard". I dunno if this would affect your decision, but I wanted to let you know.
