CB400F - Restore- Mod - Race?
« on: June 12, 2008, 07:23:32 AM »
Time to start another log.

I got this Cb400 for a few hundred dollars. The plan is to add a CBR600 front end and rear end.

Step 1. Pull motor. A hint to any one doing this, you need to remove the beather cover (on top of the valve cover) to get the engine out of the frame.

Are we having fun yet??

Looks like you're having a blast. :)  Do you have any indoor workspace?  Luckily, my sister let me take over her Jeep's spot in the garage while I tinker with mine.  It's been raining about every other here in Indiana.

Indoor work space. Whats that?!? LOL

The bike is at my girl's parent's house. I'm working on the motor on my porch at my TINY little cottage. I plan on getting a shed in the next few weeks. Gotta make room for the sandblaster!

I'm planning this swap myself.  I'd love to know how your project is going.
