bad MC?
« on: July 01, 2008, 02:59:08 PM »
I have been riding this cb750 for about a week. When I got it the mc was dry, and after a bit of messing with it I got it to work. Well, I don't know if it worked right or not. I could put my finger over the hole and get pressure, but when I let go of the lever there was suction.  With the system bled I have very little lever action, and it seemed that the caliper was dragging a bit. Now with the mc off and the front wheel off the ground the wheel turns ok, so am I down to a mc rebuild?

At the bottom of the brake master reservoir, you should see two holes.  One large, and the one nearer the outlet starts large but tapers to very small.

Are both these holes clear?

I wasn't sure if the small hole was a hole or not. I don't think it was clear when I filled the mc.  I do have some old guitar strings that I can try to poke down there and clear it.

I cleared the hole and cleaned out the MC. I'll see if it works tomorrow.
