« on: August 23, 2008, 02:34:36 PM »
(1982 cb 650 sc) Ok just getting things in order for when i change out the cylinder head gasket i just bought a motion pro carb sync on ebay for 30 bucks my question is do i need to get carb adjusting wrench or can i do without it? and if you recommend i get one which one is the best.

you will have to have a tool or make a tool to do the adjustments.I welded a box end wrench on top of a socket (12m ?) so that a screwdriver would fit through the box end and the socket. I dont have a pic of it ,so i hope i described it well enough.

A crows-foot socket would do the trick ;)

I've always used a screwdriver and a box end wrench without problems.

cv carbs can be synced. they work the same way as the slide carbs, but the adjustment screws are located between the carbs.
