Eliminating Electric Start
« on: September 10, 2005, 09:03:39 AM »
I am wanting to build a stripped down CB750, which would include the elimination of the electric start.  I was wondering if it is just a simple matter of removing the specific components, or are there any cycle systems that need to be modified in order to run just the kick start?  Thanks.

unless you are going to race the thing where a couple of pounds is a big deal I would leave the electric starter on and just not run the wiring to the bars...I take it you are going to run athrottle setup with no switches

you never know...you may want to run the electric start again then you can just run the wires

You will need to plug the hole in the upper case left by removing the starter. You could fabricate a plug from round aluminum stock and silicone it in place.
