Fuel flowing out of overflow tube in carb #2

Two weeks ago I re-jetted the carbs.  The bike idled without any problems.
Today I put on my new 4 into 1 exhaust, turned on the bike and after about 10 seconds fuel was flowing out of the overflow tube on my second carb.

Turned bike off, turned petcock off, and fuel stopped flowing.
Put petcock to on position and after around 10-15 seconds fuel was flowing out again.

Float Bowl?
Float Valve?

Any suggestions?  I realize I'll have to take the carbs off and take a look at #2, but what am I looking for?

Thanks, from Austin Texas.

Had the same problem. Some said to tap the side of the carb as the float may be stuck. Some said it went away after that. Mine did't. I think ultimately I had some junk that slipped through and got stuck. Also... These parts inside need to be smooth and one little scratch can jamb thing up. hope this helps...

Either junk in float valve seat, worn rubber on valve, or float too high.

a bent or messed up float pin/pivot can do this as well, this was the case w/ my 78K that was doing the same thing on carb 1 if I didn't shut the petcock before I shut down. A shop that ripped me off for service just looped the overflow tubes from carb to carb instead of fixing the problem, and with that set up fuel would flow out of my pod filter on #1 when it was on the side stand. That experience cemented the fact that NOBODY is touching my bike besides me, seems I can't F things up as bad as the "pros".

PS- the shop was Crossroads Cycles in Falls Church Va, avoid them like the plague, owner also got my front brake pad covered with oil before he gave it back to me, then told me "brakes on these bikes sucked, don't believe that crap in the old reviews of these bikes saying the brakes are grand prix quality, they just suck".... when I told him they were just fine when I brought them in, he told me I was crazy. I was... for giving him $550 to mess up my bike. The thing didn't even make it 3 miles from his shop before the battery was totally drained due to him shorting out the hot lead to the 1/4 coil. SORRY FOR VENTING..... but people have to know who to avoid out there

Thanks.

I drained the float bowl, opened up the petcock and refilled it.  Works fine now.  No more overflow.

thanks again.
