Wear your gear all the time, Even if its "around town". As dumb as I felt lugging around my leather jacket just for a trip 10 mins. away, it just saved my skin.
Oil and a sweeping corner got me, need I say more? Happend too fast to really react, then I am looking at my bike sliding away... headlight, tail light, headlight, tail light.
My jacket pretty much saved my side.
Oh yeah, and these Honda's are pretty tough bikes
