1976 CB550k video link
« on: September 12, 2005, 06:41:26 PM »
I uploaded a video of my CB550k.  Similar to the other members, I attached my digital camera to my chest.  Unfortuneately the wind noise can disturb the audio at faster speeds.   It is approximately 6MB in size.
Pictures of the bike are located in the gallery.  #1127

Wow, that was great! Nice, responsive motor you have there!! I went for two rides, untill people in the other offices began giving each other strange looks and shaking their heads!

Thanks!

Thanks for the new movie.  My son gives it two big "Vrooomm Vroomms".  Could have gotten three, but no tunnel like in Heffay's.  The motor does sound great and it's good to see you're not afraid to rev it up!

P.S. Any one know where the "Amarillo" video is I've been looking and can't find it...

Neat clip, thanks. How come there's no trans clunk when you shift, don't all Honda's come with that?  ;D

P.S. Had to overlook the fact it was loaded to a Ohio State server.  ;)

That was scary - you're on the wrong side of the road.

I've wanted to try the movie clip thing myself ever since someone posted the first one, haven't gotten around to it yet (carbs kept me too busy  ;D), but I was thinking about the wind noise business, don't know where the microphone is located on your camera, but if feasible, try somehow to temporarily attach a small piece of open cell foam in front of it. The pro's call them windshields and use them on lapel mikes that newscasters wear. Have no idea if it would work, but worth a try.

It does clunk when I downshift.  It is rather quiet when I upshift.

The microphone is located in the front of the camera.  I will try your foam idea.  Seems as though it could work. The pure AVI clips show so much more detail.  Unfortuneatly having to compress the movie down takes away alot of nice detail.
Thanks for all of your comments.

I'm sure it was a typo, I'm sure it should have read "Go Blue."  ;D ;D

The grips are just an aftermarket item that I got at a local bike shop.  The bike had some nasty foam grips when I got it. The larger diameter makes it much more comfortable.
