Possibile new bike build...
« on: October 22, 2008, 08:19:58 AM »
So,

It is that time of year, and I have been thinking about building another bike.
So I have the word out to source another CB450 to use as the base.
The basic idea is to build some sorta hardtail’ed low/long dirtbike/board tracker kinda thing.

Basic’s would include:
1.Hardtail rear (BSA Weld on adapted to the stock CB450 frame)
2.Dirtbike frontend with 23’’ front wheel (knobby tire is staying)
3.19’’ or 21’’ rear wheel
4.Slammed to the ground (of course ;D)
5.Modified backbone (for a more “flowing” look)
6.Possibile Turbo
7.Mid controls
8.Smooth/custom triple tree with bars welded directly to it
9.No gauges – No fenders – Nothing that is not needed
10. Solo seat on mountian bike shock

What ya guys think ?
Should I build it ?
Should I say screw the project and dump the cash into my Ducati ?

Build it.  Just don't sell it this time.
Go metric, every inch of the way!

I sold the old CB450 to my buddy Danny (who is also in Half Fast).
So I got the cash for the bike, plus I still get to ride it  ;D

How about a Chicago theme ?
On the flat black tank I see valentines busted up and bleeding up against a brick wall on South Wabash.
