Hello from a Mile High
« on: October 18, 2008, 08:49:55 PM »
Hey there, I have been meaning to join for a while and finally got to it. I live in Denver and have rode most of my life, mostly dirt bikes though. I'm the son of a street rodder and have spent my life around cars but feel more at home with two wheels.
Bought a '77 CB750F last summer looking to clean it up and ride it, well I rode it home and it hasn't moved again! I had always liked the looks of the SOHC 4's and finally got one so now I want to make it my own, I will post some pics soon. I have lots of ideas and am looking for people to bounce them off of. My dad has been somewhat helpful but only about as much as an old car guy who has never owned a bike can be.
The fork seals were shot and I've done those already. I found the carbs had been messed with by someone who clearly had NO IDEA what they were doing! I did some research and just decided to pick up an older set and replace the stock carbs. Bike had a Vetter farring on it and it had not been taken care of so it is gone. Going without turn signals and found some nice headlight mounts so that is coming together.
Looking forward to learning as much as I can here and meeting some of you. Like I said, I will post some pics soon and hope to get some feedback.

Welcome from down here at 780 Ft ASL in Canada.

Do any snowmobiling out that way, or just Enduro or motocross?

I guess you could say just motorcross, mostly just ripping up old fields.
