Has anybody here used these pipes on a CB?
« on: October 31, 2008, 08:16:23 AM »
I thought these might look cool on a cafe.
Was wondering if anyone has them & how they look (and work).

I'm not sure what he is promoting there. From what I see those are simply mufflers for a twin. You'll need some sort of 2 into 1 thingie to get them to work on a 4 cylinder.

His CB pipes are either 4-4 drag pipes or 4-2-1 collector system.

I used a pair of them on my CB450 years ago.  They were extremely nice sounding on the twin, not any bit of harshness, very throaty like a triumph, and with decent volume.

I had a set of original coctail shaker mufflers on my cb550 chop a while back. My buddy pulled them off a triumph and gave them to me. I used a Jardine 4 into 2 setup and removed the turnout mufflers and installed these. They sound alright, but I eventually went back to drag pipes when I found a set of new ones.

Anyway, I think those pipes are intended to slip onto the original 4-4 (two sets?) or be used on a twin. They look alright, I'm curious about sound.
