Hi I'm Jack. I live in Houston and just bought my first CB. It's a 1975 CB550K.

I don't know much about motorcycle repair, but I've been told this is a great place to learn.

It doesn't matter that don't know much about motorcycle repair.  This IS a great place to learn!  :)

Congrats on the bike and welcome to the forum.  Visit often... read as much as you can... don't be afraid to dig in and wrench on that bike... you'll have a blast!

I am also from H-Town, be glad to introduce you around, there are quite a few of us from Texas. I'm out by Katy, and try to ride daily if possible. My pride is my K8 750, but I also ride an 07 VFR 800 ! I will be starting a build with a barn find 550 soon as I can allocate the space and time !!

Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !
