HM300 Exhaust Baffle Bolts
« on: June 21, 2009, 08:00:06 PM »
If you're like me and can't bear to get rid of any random nuts, bolts or screws you end up with, you'll probably have several of these stashed in a drawer somewhere.

The standard bolts that come with your motorcycle batteries are exactly the right length and thread size to fit the tapped holes in the ends of the baffles for the HM300 exhausts.

I replaced the bolts and washers at the local auto parts store for less than a dollar.

That's nice.  I did it for free and didn't have to leave my garage.  I don't tend to post in the "tricks & tips" section when I go to the parts store for something. ;)

Good to know Gordon. Thanks! I usually snap mine when they get stuck in the exhaust hole- any clever tips or tricks to prevent that  ;)?

Well, I'd suggest a little anti-seize on the bolts, but then that wouldn't really be a trick... ;D ;D
