Hi 754, a little mor info:
The two carb sets each came with a cable. The sleeves on both cables are cracked with age, so I didn't want to use either and ordered a new one, which turned out to be the thicker type. I put the two old cables side by side this morning. Near as I can tell, they are nearly identical, except for the thickness of the cables, the size of the connectors and the thicker cables are a little longer. The top, that attaches to the throttle sleeve, is the same. The upper half of the fat cable will not screw into the bottom half of the thin cable because they are different diameters and vice versa, but other than that they appear the same.
The only reason I believe both are original K0 cables is because the two carb sets have different connectors on the top of the carbs but otherwise are identical. You can exchange exchange the top set plate from each set of carbs to the other, but you cannot exchange the connector alone. The diameters are different.
I am not a vintage motorcycle expert, so I have no idea if any bike other than the K0750 used the single cable to four individual carb cable arrangement you find on a K0. I also do not know if someone somewhere along the way in the last 40 years exchanged the four top plates from other carbs to one set of my carbs so they could use the different size cable. I just know that both sets appear to be K0 carbs and each uses a different thickness cable.
Again, I hope this helps somehow.
Patrick
